Network LCM (Life Cycle Management) Project lead
Job Purpose
The primary purpose of this role is to collate the global infrastructure inventory and provide financial, operational and product assessments of the operational status of the components on a rolling basis in line with the vendor’s lifecycle polices. Secondly, to work with local infrastructure teams to manage the upgrades of the identified equipment in line with the agreed strategy or to provide suitable risk mitigation strategies until such upgrades have completed.

Key Responsibilities

 
o Collation and verification of network and voice inventory from various data sources
o Assessment of EOL status against manufacturer provided lifecycle polices
o Analysis of data using online in–house and MS Office based tools
o Communication of EOL status to concerned parties (branch, country and regional)
o Provision of EOL forecasts for hardware procurement, resource allocation and financial impact.
o Provision of EOL budgetary information
o Risk and criticality assessment of EOL components & suitable risk mitigation strategies
o Project management of locally managed infrastructure works
o Remote project management of regional / global infrastructure works
o Communication of progress to key stakeholders
o Planning and Coordination of resources for scheduled works
o Coordination of works within the change management process
o Liaison with telecommunications carriers & 3rd party vendors
o Verification of maintenance changes following infrastructure works
o Cost management
o Value management

Key Skills

 
• Understanding of multiple vendors networking/voice equipment product sets, components, and End of Life policies
• Knowledge of the following vendors is advantageous
o Cisco
o Juniper
o Bluecoat
o Paulo-Alto
o Riverbed
o N3K
o Avaya
• Understanding of product lifecycles / product management
• Ability to read / understand technical network diagrams
• Ability to break down hardware specifications to card/component build level
• Raw data analysis – Using whatever tools are available
• Internal communication skills at all levels – Technicians to Directors: Able to understand requirements at a technical level and effectively communicate requirements, risk and cost into business terms

Position Responsibilities:
 
Create, test, maintain and/or document solutions comprising of MicroStrategy Reports and MicroStrategy/Visual Insights Dashboard or applications (including, but not limited to metrics, filters, templates and prompts), as well as custom SQL reports.
Develop a wide portfolio of reports and dashboards that will support multiple business partners throughout the organization.
Provide intelligence on the capabilities and functionalities of MicroStrategy Visual Insights and identify the optimal data solution.
Ability to work with little or no documentation and ability to reverse engineer the existing MicroStrategy report builder structures.
Facilitate requirements gathering and discovery sessions from business leads.
Design and build internal performance dashboards/reporting, across all areas of the business, with an emphasis on a Leadership Level performance suite.
Collaborate with IT development and user experience teams on the design and presentation of data and analytics for IT based solutions.
Coordinate UAT sessions with business partners.
Take large amounts of complex data and simplify for a general audience.

Position Requirements:
 
Bachelor degree in a quantitative discipline, (Computer Science, or Engineering). MS in a quantitative discipline highly preferred.
3+ years of demonstrated capability on Microstrategy reporting and Dashboarding. 2+ year experience with Tableau is a nice to have.
Must have solid experience in MicroStrategy Visual Insights report builder and Dashboard creation.
Solid experience in Business Intelligence domain and solutions is a must.
Most have solid knowledge of SQL.
Understanding of Excel/Access VBA and Macros, Data Modeling and Statistical analysis is highly desirable.
Experience with EDW (Enterprise Data Warehouse) is highly preferred.
Experience working with large data volumes with superior analytical and quantitative skills.
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
Strong interpersonal skills including ability to work in a cross functional environment and communicate with all levels of the organization.

We are seeking a Web Sphere Portal Developer for a very long term contract role.  All of our product offerings are built in an n-tier client-server environment using an ASP.NET/C# front end and a Java/J2EE back end on an Oracle or SQL Server database.  The solutions are modular, allowing clients to purchase and implement one solution alone, multiple solutions installed in a phased approach, or the entire solution.

In this role you will work with our managers, clients and product R&D teams to integrate our new web portal for taxpayer access and self-service into the product suite.  The portal will have a Java-based front end and will be designed using the IBM Web Sphere portal development framework.   4 years of technical experience in design and development on IBM Web Sphere Portals using JSR168 or JSR286, needed.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

• Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science, CIS, MIS or a related field.
• 4 years’ of technical experience in design and development on IBM WebSphere Portals using JSR168 or JSR286
• 5 years’ experience with Java/JEE technologies
• Experience with MVC frameworks such as Spring, Struts, JSF
• Strong experience in Web Services and Hibernate
• Front End Development using HTML, CSS3, Bootstrap, jQuery, Ajax and JSON
• Development experience using RAD
